38 years on Carters Mounts have a national reputation for the precision and quality of there unique assemblies. Carters make slip in folders, slip in strut mounts , and picture mounts often for national events.
Carters Mounts started in a 10 foot square concrete shed at the bottom of the garden with one customer who took retail volume.
Today they are a national company with customers from all sectors of the photographic, artistic, event marketing and educational industries. They are the only company in the UK who manufacture solely picture mounts.
Carters sell to the BSB groups who want something that is relevant to the company they work for . In essence work that is BESPOKE… custom made.
Carters also sell to the craft groups or individual customers who want to display there work. To the left are standard picture mounts with a little gold foil design in the corner.
Where are Carters Mounts ?
Located in the English Lake District south of Lake Windermere. They have been resident there for nearly 40 years drawn originally by the wilderness areas of the high ground in the Langdale valley . The tradition of mountain exploring is dutifully passed on through the family to the younger Mr Carter who is actively involved in earning a living showing paying visitors aspects of the great outdoors in The Lakes and keeping them safe. Many of his Alpine adventure pictures of “daring do “appear through this site.
What do Carters Mounts Do ?
Carters also have a reputation for a unique range of products designed to offer alternatives to traditional methods of presentation. Unique strut assemblies used for the Queen’s Jubilee in 2011 and then subsequently for her 90th birthday celebrations and this year’s Platinum Jubilee are hallmarks of the Carter’s workshop standards.Carters also make folders for the Celtic Manor, NATO, Newmarket Race Course and a number of top celebrity golfing events.
